Visit to the Dolphin Show

Suky took two of our students Fah and Chompoo out  today.

We've been intending to check out the Dolphin Show, and so today seemed like the ideal time to do it.  Unfortunately, although we thought they would chatter away about things in general and what they were seeing,  they didn't. Clearly they're both rather shy - must be the almost teens phase.

Regardless, they both loved the show and the ice cream afterwards, so that part was successful, thankfully.

The length of the show is 45 minutes and the cost is 99 B for children and 200 B for adults.  However, both girls were above the height limit, it seems, and were charged as adults.

Suky was quite impressed with the place and the show, but she thought that 45 minutes was long enough.  However, we were horrified to learn that to swim with the dolphins was 1500 B for Thais and 2500 B for farangs.

Actually, Fah's mother brought her and the baby over to the office to meet us, and it's clear that they are devoted to each other.  Fah had a beaming smile when she was holding the baby, and even though we brought a teddy bear to 'ease the pain of separation', the baby was very upset she couldn't go along with Fah in the van.

It will not matter how big your bank account was, the sort of house you lived in, or the kind of car you drove. But the world may be a little better because your help touched the life of one child.
